MY STORY

A Life Shaped by Radio

Piccadilly Radio 261 wasn't planned in a boardroom. It was built by one person, out of a lifelong love of radio that goes back to growing up in Manchester when Piccadilly Radio first switched on — and a family story that made those airwaves mean even more.

I went on to broadcast for BFBS, worked across countless RSLs and medium wave stations, ran my own DJ events company, and have been an electronic and electrical engineer since I was old enough to take things apart.

A serious accident and a health battle over the past few years changed everything — and building this station became part of how I found my way back.

This station isn't here to compete with anyone. It's here to keep a golden era of Manchester's broadcasting history alive, to honour my father, and to prove that no matter how hard life knocks you down, the music doesn't have to stop.
